The blog is still called Gnashing and it’s still free — I’m not doing paid Substack subscriptions. The transition has been a bit of a pain: Substack’s operating platform is tangled with tentacles, all of which I have yet to unravel. I hope to make your navigation easy, too. Anyway, the new link is HERE if you care. I began by recycling three old Gnashing blogs just to get the ball rolling, but I’m going for new posts on out. On this home page you’ll see announcements for new posts. Click one — like the one titled “Accidental Accents,” my newest one — and when you get to the post you will see at the bottom my other (few) posts. If you subscribe, you’ll get periodic emails that contain the latest post. Simple.
I won’t be writing monster-length magazine pieces, which seem so popular (and boring) on Substack, but sticking to my average 500- to 600-word quick-hit essays, rants and rambles. Join me. I’ll try to make it fun.
